Interacting with a quantum system - TS02

In this second tutorial of the series, we introduce a bit more realism into our model two state quantum system by attempting to connect it to the ”outside world”. The real world is of course frightfully complicated ?  and so we deliberately look at the simplest of models - the world as classical time dependent field. Despite this simplicity, the physics basis of stimulated emission pops out naturally as we explore the relationship between the frequency of the field and the characteristic frequency of the two state system. 

We’ll also continue to develop our familiarity with QuTiP (our quantum software tool of choice) in a number of ways - in particular, we’ll learn how QuTiP lets us switch between different mathematical representations of our two state system in (you guessed it) a single line of code ? .
